All right, the award for “funnest couple” definitely goes to these two!  (Although to be fair most of my couples are really fun, so no disrespect to any of them )  First, their rehearsal dinner was on Halloween so they had a costume party - I even got to dress up but of course didn’t manage to get any pictures of myself.

Then their wedding the next day was a blast - even though they had to change the ceremony location due to rain they were totally cool about it and it ended up being gorgeous anyway (check out that blue sky, what lovely light).

They also did a hilarious nod to ‘Old School’ with these giant pictures of themselves over the head table, and the individual tables were all named after Adam Sandler movies.  Then they did a choreographed first dance that was amazing.  Seriously one of the coolest first dances I’ve ever seen - good work guys!  I had a blast at your wedding and can’t wait to show you the rest of the pictures!

Yesterday morning I had the privilege of being part of Julie & David’s wedding ceremony, which took place on the balcony at Cafe Santorini in Old Town Pasadena - what a lovely location for a small ceremony like this!  It was just them, their moms, the minister, and myself, and their ceremony was truly lovely and obviously very meaningful to them.  Thanks again guys, I am honored to have been part of your day - and I hope to be doing your family portraits very soon!!

I was a little worried it was going to rain on us for this session, but fortunately it stayed mostly dry and I got beautiful cloudy light instead! This family is so cute, both of the kids have so much personality. I remember taking pictures of Ava (the little girl) at her preschool last year, and she was always smiling and happy to say hi

This is the baby from the baptism a few weeks ago - isn’t it amazing that he already looks different?  I am going to be doing his portrait four times this year, so I am really excited to see how he changes between now and his first birthday.  If he keeps giving me expressions like this, we’re going to get along very well

This family was really fun to work with, but there was one moment of excitement seconds after the above photo was taken when the little boy rolled over and almost fell off this platform - but I caught him!  OK, so it was like a foot and a half off the ground, which was covered in nice soft wood chips, so it probably wouldn’t have been a huge trauma.  But I was still glad to help

Yesterday’s Pasadena Click or Treat was a huge success, so thanks to all the families who participated! The costumes this year were just great, I couldn’t even pick a favorite from all these adorable kids! I am really looking forward to next Sunday’s Brentwood Click or Treat day now, although I don’t think it can possibly top the overall adorable-ness of yesterday’s kids :)  Like little Elvis, above (click ‘more’ to see all the other kids!)
